Comfort Housing by Care Companions offers affordable, independent housing for adults who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This program provides housing only and does not include assisted living, medical care, personal care, supervision, or case management.
Population We Serve
Seniors
For seniors who are aging gracefully and want to maintain their independence, we offer a clean, safe, and affordable living environment that provides stability, respect, and a sense of community without the cost or structure of assisted living.
U.S. Veterans (including VA & VASH participants)
We proudly serve U.S. Veterans, including those utilizing VA and VASH benefits, who are able to live independently and are seeking stable, affordable housing. Our homes offer a respectful, structured environment that supports independence, dignity, and successful community living.
Survivors of Domestic Violence
We provide a safe and respectful housing option for survivors of domestic violence who are ready to live independently and are seeking stability after leaving an unsafe situation. Our independent living homes offer privacy, structure, and dignity without requiring participation in services or programs.
Individuals Re-Entering Society
We support individuals re-entering society who are capable of independent living and are seeking stable housing as they rebuild their lives. Our program offers structured, affordable housing that promotes responsibility, accountability, and a positive transition back into the community.
Job Corps Graduates and Young Adults
Affordable independent living housing for young adults starting their next chapter.
What We Offer
Affordable Housing
We offer affordable independent living housing program is designed for adults on fixed or limited incomes who are able to live independently. Our pricing is structured to reduce common housing barriers, including high rents and credit requirements, while providing a clean, safe, and stable place to live.
Furnished Housing
Comfort Housing by Care Companions offers fully furnished independent housing, providing adults with a ready-to-move-in living space that supports autonomy and comfort.
24 hours Security
Comfort Housing by Care Companions provides 24-hour security to ensure a safe and secure living environment for all residents. Our measures include security cameras, keyless and fingerprint entry, and a clear emergency plan. These features help residents feel protected while maintaining full independence.
Program Fit and Eligibility
This program is a good fit for adults who:
- Are able to live independently
Can self-administer medications. - Do not require supervision or personal care.
- Can follow house rules and shared living expectations
- Are seeking stable, low-barrier housing
Intake Process
Step 1: Referral/Application submitted by phone or email.
Step 2: Application review and intake interview
Step 3: Approval decision (typically within 1 business day)
Step 4: Move-in, subject to availability (often within 24–72 hours)

What are the eligibility criteria
To be eligible for Comfort Housing by Care Companions program, individuals must:
- Meet our program's eligibility criteria

☐ I understand this is not assisted living or healthcare housing
- Complete an application.
- Participate in an intake interview.

Are there resident house rules and what happens if violated?
Yes, we have house rules that all participants agree to adhere to. We follow a progressive approach that may include warnings, written notices, behavior plans, or termination of the license to occupy.
How are emergencies handled?
Residents are instructed to contact emergency services (911) as needed. Emergency contact information is kept on file.
Can residents have visitors?
Yes, visitors are welcome during designated hours.
What type of security is provided?
We ensures resident safety through 24-hour security cameras in common areas and outer boundaries, secure access locks, and regular staff visits to check safety, address complaints, and enforce house rules.
Is there staff supervision?
No. Residents are responsible for managing their own daily living needs.
